Cold: Feel that tickle in your throat?
Me: Yeah, I'm fine. It's just allergies. I'll ask my allergist at my appointment tomorrow.
Cold: You do that.

Monday morning:
Cold: Did you try swallowing this morning?
Me: Yes. Felt like shards of glass.
Cold: MWUAH-HA-HA. How about your head?
Me: Feels like it's caving in.
Cold: Stay home, sleep.
Me: No, I must go to work and be a productive part of society.

Monday afternoon:
Allergist: How have you been feeling?
Me: Well, the injections haven't been bothering me but today I feel kind of yucky.
Allergist: Let me check you out while you're here.
Me: Thanks.
Cold: hahahehehehahahahehehe
Allergist: Well, you have an ear infections, very swollen nodes, a fever, and the beginnings of an upper respiratory infection.
Me: Awesome.
Cold: See, told ya. You can't escape me, mothasucka.
Allergist: You don't want antibiotics, do you?
Me: No, I don't take them for viruses. I'll fight this.
Allergist: Good. Too many people want antibiotics for things that won't make a difference. Here's some decongestant. Get some rest.
Cold: Ha! Rest?! When will you do that.

Monday overnight:
Cold: SUCK IT!
Me: Ehhhhhhhh, ughhhhhhhhhhhh, cough, cough, uhhhhhhhh, ehhhhhhhh.

Me: BARK! SNOT!
Mike: What's your temp?
Me: 101.4.
Mike: Go back to bed.

OK, now that I have de-germed the page, do you have chloraseptic spray? That is the best shit EVER for your throat. That and Werther's Originals, like a whole bag of them. And not the sugar-free kind, either. The full-on, stick to your throat kind.
