We went outside for a bit this afternoon.

Dude, how we gonna get up that slide?
And by "a bit" I mean approximately 15 minutes. Why so short you ask? Because homeboy had to go and do this.
Thankfully, it was more of a giant bump and scrape than a gash and stitches weren't necessary. It's all bruised now and as per his norm, looks like a cage fighter.

The first time I was in the ER with Charlotte was right after her third birthday when she broke her leg.
Have you seen anything so pathetic in your life?
Nothing stopped her from wearing her tutu though, damnit.
And we were there again a couple weeks later when she fell off the chair onto the tile and had to call 911.
With this kid - who, by the way, got that injury by diving off the end of the deck into a pile of rocks and then smacking his head on the edge of the decking - I'm gonna wager we may not make it till age 3, although I sure can hope, right?

The puppy is getting big. Great picture of Charlotte.
You're in Jersey, right? I think I read about some sort of toddler Thunderdome there: you know, "two babies enter, one baby leaves without crying" type thing?
Oh my goodness, Luna is so big already. She's going to be a big girl!
Oh....poor Boogie :(
Sweet Heebus....Luna's getting SO big already.
The first shot of Charlotte is awesome....she's so beautiful!
Poor little thing(s). Hey, kids have accidents. That's why they invented ERs, isn't it?
As to the weather: you know you live in a snow belt when 40 degrees feels balmy. (And, yes, that word makes me snigger.)
I've been a parent now for almost 7 years and we've only had 2 ER visits related to injury and 1 ER visit related to illness. I am SHOCKED by our stats!
Also: WHEN oh WHEN is someone going to invent that damn bubble for our kids?
Yeah, I patted myself on the bag that I'd been a parent for almost 8 years before a trip to the emergency room, and then we had two in 3 weeks.
Poor Sawyer. Drew's head always has a scratch (right now, under the eye from the cat) or a bruise or a bump. Always. The twins aren't any better.
oi, oi - poor kids. But that's how we all hurted ourselves - more or less.
Greetings from Nenette! :)
And happy, relaxing Sunday greetings from Cairo!

oh poor baby! I have a distinct memory of rushing home from the part, holding my 4 year old in my arms, with blood running over both of us.
She leaned back on a bench seat and kept going, hitting the ground with her forehead.
But once I washed all the blood off I found a tiny tiny TINY little gash in the middle of a big bump! It was amazing, all that blood!
Kids can't be kids without hurting themselves. It's just something we have to go through.
